I believe the 2nd and subsequent affidavits of Police Insp Diongon have more credibility than the alleged first and fabricated affidavit, considering that they match the testimonies of other witnesses – particularly in the instruction of Andal Jr to block the party of the Mangudadatu clan along the highway.

Had there been a real bomb threat, the 100-strong armed policemen and CHDF should have detained and/or arrested the Mangudadatu party RIGHT THERE AND THEN, and not lead them to a remote killing field.

The Ampatuans and their henchmen can lie all they want, but truth will always come out!

As for turning state witness, one’s criminal liability is extinguished. Unfortunately, that’s the law. But, don’t worry: there’s always, in the end, God’s judgment. Now, nobody can escape that!!

“Au pairs” are like governesses (remember Maria/Julie Andrews in the movie The Sound of Music?), or like the manservant of English gentlemen – refined, educated and loyal.

This is a hallowed tradition among Europeans our aspiring domestic assistants would do well to exploit (kayang-kaya: a 2007 study revealed that 25% of domestics hired in Italy had college degrees!).

Of course, there are also “bad eggs” as sam1o1 says, as well as those who probably have no confidence in themselves, writes Babaylan.

This is indeed good news for the OFWs!

Tenorio lamented in her prescon sponsored by Unifil-HK:
“After the treatment I got from Labatt [Salud], the [recruitment] agency and my employer, I did not want to believe in anyone anymore. I remembered what I was told during the Pre-Departure Seminar (PDOS) where they told us that if one needed assistance, one can go to the Consulate. ”

Countless OFWs have also undergone compulsory PDOS and also heard the same assurances.

BTW, we are the ONLY embassy where our kababayans are ushered into “halls” that are actually converted garage areas, sit in cheap plastic chairs, and vigorously fan themselves bec. the electric fans are only turned on when an emboldened visitor requests. This is the kind of treatment you future OFWs can expect from our “public servants!”

Statue of Liberty and America’s Spiritual Revival

Statue of Liberty and America’s Spiritual Revival

(Read “Liberty.” Link: http://www.actsweb.org/daily.php#aaa)

The Statue of Liberty (which I understand was a gift of France to the American people)has withstood for more than a hundred yrs the ravages of rust and saltwater. Similarly, Solomon’s temple (which was David’s gift to the Lord) lasted through three centuries before its destruction by Nebuchadnezzar. A spiritual revival accompanied the Temple’s inauguration (2Chr 7) followed by a Covenant from God to be with His people forever (vv 12-17).

America need only to “humble itself, pray, turn from its wicked ways..” then God will heal America.

Can America believe it? Will believers do it?
